DESIGN PROCESS
THE IMPORTANCE OF DESIGN

DESIGN IS A COLLABORATIVE & ITERATIVE PROCESS
USER VALIDATION SHOULD GUIDE DESIGN DECISIONS

RESEARCH & TESTING REDUCES RISK WHILE ENSURING A SOLUTION THAT USERS LOVE.
AS A DESIGNER, MY DUTY IS TO ADVOCATE FOR THE USER WHILE ALIGNING WITH BUSINESS GOALS.

My Design Process
User feedback and validation are central to my design process. I believe that having your users be a part of the process ensures that you are building a product that users will love, but it also ensures user adoption.

Keeping track of all assumptions and then having a regular cadence of validation ensures that the product team is building the right solution in a way that makes sense to the user.

User-Centered Design + Agile Methodologies = Lower Risk
Incorporating UCD and Agile methodologies will help reduce risk over time. By creating a short feedback cycle with the users of the product, it enables the team to validate any assumptions and ensures that the project is on the path to success. This methodology ensures that you are building a product that solves real problems and that users enjoy using in their workflows.

Waterfall methodologies build risk over time because they are not validating with their user base.
